Ingredients
5 lbs kidney beans, rinsed and drained
5 lbs green beans, drained
5 lbs waxed beans, drained
3 C sliced green onions
3-2-1 ratio sugar-vinegar-oil
salt & pepper
Directions
- In a large bowl. combine beans and onions and mix gently.
- Transfer to large bowl or non-reactive food storage container.
- Make enough dressing from remaining ingredients to cover the beans by heating vinegar and sugar in non-reactive pan just until sugar is mostly dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in oil, salt and pepper.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes to cool.
- Pour over mixed beans.
- Refrigerate overnight.
